Verification Authorization Assistant

Find your purpose with CentraCare! We are seeking a detail oriented and customer-focused Verification Authorization Assistant to support our Home Health and Hospice team! 

Responsibilities include: 

• Ensuring all new referrals have insurance demographic and eligibility information obtained and entered into the electronic medical record 
• Assembling admission paperwork and accurately completing required forms 
• Verifying patient payer eligibility and benefits
• Obtaining authorization for home care and hospice services
• Communicating necessary information regarding authorizations and eligibility with Case Manager  

Schedule

• Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | Hybrid 
  • Primarily work from home with occasional on-site presence required for meetings and work events
• Monday - Friday | Day shift | 8:00 am – 4:30 pm 

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay begins at $18.84 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
  • Pay range: $18.40 - $27.61 per hour

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED 
• Minimum of 1 year of previous office experience
• Prior home care experience or knowledge of home care regulatory guidelines preferred  
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills 
• Good communication skills both oral and written 
• Knowledge of computer-based data entry 
• Experience working with insurance strongly preferred
