About the role
As a Senior Demand Planning Manager, you will oversee all forecasting activities, both in-season and pre-season. This includes creating and maintaining demand forecast models using insights from sales, merchandising, marketing, finance, and supply. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, precision, and excellent communication abilities. You'll play a crucial role internally and externally, contributing significantly to Spanx's hyper-growth journey as a key member of the Planning Team.
This role is based in our Atlanta headquarters, requires weekly in-office work Tuesday-Thursday, and reports to our Director, Wholesale Planning & SOP.
You’ll love it because you will…
- Develop demand forecasts across multiple aggregation levels and time horizons
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and seasonal hindsight analyses to uncover future opportunities, identifying product risks and opportunities down to size level
- Maintain SKU-level forecasts across markets, channels, distribution centers, and critical accounts monthly
- Manage both top-down and bottom-up pre-season plans and in-season forecasts at collection, category, class, and style levels
- Collaborate with sales, product teams, supply chain, and operations in the demand review process to support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Update rolling 18-month statistical forecasts monthly
- Communicate forecast changes to stakeholders in supply chain, sales, marketing, and finance
- Generate various reports including KPIs and diagnostic measures to analyze and recommend actions supporting the forecast
- Analyze historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast accuracy
- Drive process improvements independently and act as a thought partner
Qualifications
We require...
- 7+ years of relevant demand and/or merchandise planning experience
- Experience in wholesale distribution preferred
- Ability to thrive in an environment with evolving processes
- Strong Excel & analytical skills
- Impact Analytics experience is a plus
- A highly detail-oriented individual
- Leveraging expertise to develop holistic business solutions
- The means to identify and handle ambiguity in complex situations
- Independent prioritization and self-management responsibilities
- Prior experience working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment
- Ability to simplify complex ideas
- Receptivity to feedback and buy-in from internal and external partners
- A thought partner who can pinpoint opportunity for process improvement effectively managing change
- Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to leadership and business partners
