IT Business Analyst (Salesforce CRM and Deltek Costpoint)

The Role
As a Presidio IT Business Analyst within our Business Systems team, you will possess hands-on experience in both Salesforce CRM and Deltek Costpoint. This role bridges business needs with technical solutions — optimizing workflows, improving system integrations, and ensuring data consistency between Salesforce and Costpoint. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at translating complex business requirements into actionable system improvements. You will lead end-to-end business analysis efforts for complex projects, serve as a liaison across business and IT, and guide the design and delivery of scalable solutions.

Travel Requirements: 

This position does not require travel but may ask for up to 5% travel.

Responsibilities Include: 

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements.
• Support, maintain, and optimize Salesforce CRM and Deltek Costpoint ERP systems to ensure seamless data flow and accurate reporting.
• Analyze and document current business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements or automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Sales teams to improve system integrations and ensure data integrity across platforms.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support business decision-making.
• Partner with IT and third-party vendors on system enhancements, testing, and deployments.
• Manage user training, support, and change management related to system updates or process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, and data governance standards.

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration, Information Systems, Accounting) or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience  
• 3–5 years of business analysis experience in enterprise systems.
• Experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud preferred) — including workflows, reports, dashboards, and user management.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint — including modules for accounting, project management, or billing.
• Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar).
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong working knowledge with SQL, technical writing, and BI or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Salesforce Analytics.
• Advanced in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio / LucidChart.
• Experienced in agile software development methodologies and Board management.
• Advanced experience with large implementations / third party vendor tools / integrating with ERP, CRM, PSA, and Portal tools.
• Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM201) or higher.
• Understanding of government contracting or project-based accounting (if applicable).
