H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Developer to support the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, California.

The Senior SQL Server Database Developer responsibilities will include:

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL database instances and objects.
• Provide subject matter expertise for NHRC applications, queries, and databases.
• Capture user requirements for systems/solutions development and deployment; develop functional specifications and work with cross functional teams to deliver solutions.
• Work closely with users to understand business process workflows, identify pain-points and inefficiencies and proactively propose solutions and tools, as well as conduct pilots and develop prototypes.
• Migrate legacy applications to modern standards, adhering to NHRC data standards.
• Create and maintain appropriate documentation related to programming tasks.
• Enforce change management and compliance processes.
• Develop, maintain, upgrade and deploy local applications using .NET programming language.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Clearance: Minimum SECRET clearance
• Education:  Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science is preferred
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database creation, maintenance, troubleshooting, software development, storing procedures, synonyms, indexing, and performance tuning, as well as database migration, and experience with .NET, C++, C#, F#, Visual Basic and Python.
