Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.  

This role will be based in Sunnyvale or Mountain View, CA.

We are seeking a Director of Workplace Technology to lead and oversee workplace-related projects, specifically focused on AV/IT integrations and all technology associated with the physical workplace, including our workplace mobile app. This role combines hands-on project management with direct team leadership, ensuring both the successful execution of workplace technology initiatives and the growth and development of a high-performing team. This role is critical in shaping our workplace strategy, ensuring our employees have access to cutting-edge technology that works seamlessly, scales with the organization, and delivers measurable value to the business. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of workplace technology professionals, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.  
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.  
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of AV/IT integration projects all build-outs.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the technology strategy as well as the technological solutions that meet organizational needs and enhance the employee experience.  
  • Ensure all technology, including AV systems, IT infrastructure, IOT sensors and workplace mobile apps, are integrated seamlessly and function effectively.  
  • Proactively evaluating and piloting emerging technologies including GAI.  
  • Manage relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.  
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues proactively.  
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards for all workplace technologies.  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years in project management, focusing on workplace technology.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.  
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, deliver results on time, and within budget, using project management tools and methodologies. 
  • Tenure leading and managing direct reports. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of AV systems, IT infrastructure, and workplace technology solutions. 
  • Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with diverse teams.  
  • Ability to develop and track measures of success for projects and programs.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated expertise with mobile app development and corporate deployment.  
  • Knowledge of data-driven workplace solutions using sensors and analytics.  
  • PMP or similar project management certification.
