Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to be based in Franklin, Tennessee.

This position is expected to begin in May 2024.

The job responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

• Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
• Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Prepare engineering-related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
• Develop solutions for routine technical problems with limited scope.
• Work under the supervision of a project engineer or senior-level team member.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
• Candidates must have completed two years of study in their program.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Interest in water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure design.
• Strong communication skills.
• Detail oriented.

Additional Information

• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
• This is an in-office position based in Franklin, TN.
• Non-Exempt Position: The offered rate of compensation (TN locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.  The hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
