Analytical Development Research Scientist (contract) 25433

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Research Scientist to join the Analytical Development team focused on Cell and Gene Therapy. This role will be instrumental in advancing analytical capabilities to support drug substance and drug product development for cell-based therapies. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques and has a background in analytical method development, qualification, and troubleshooting. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including research, process development, manufacturing, regulatory, and quality functions. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong experimental design skills, data interpretation capabilities, and scientific communication expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute cellular and molecular assays to support cell therapy and protein product development.
• Develop and troubleshoot analytical methods for drug substance and drug product characterization.
• Author and review method documents, analytical study protocols, qualification, and validation reports.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and organized documentation of experimental data and interpretations.
• Analyze complex datasets using orthogonal analytical methods and communicate findings effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fit-for-purpose analytical strategies for development-stage programs.
• Contribute to the preparation and presentation of data in internal team meetings and cross-department discussions.
• Ensure analytical data integrity and quality to support development decisions and regulatory documentation.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline with 1+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience, or
• M.S. with 5–7 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven expertise in cellular/protein sample handling and molecular biology techniques.
• Experience in analytical development or stability programs preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to design experiments, troubleshoot assays, and interpret multi-platform analytical results.
• Proficient in authoring technical documents including SOPs, protocols, and reports.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
