Housekeeper/Kennel Assistant – Veterinary  Location: Modesto, CA

Join our dedicated veterinary team at Standiford Veterinary Center as a Housekeeper/Kennel Assistant and play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control in our hospital. What You’ll Do

• Perform routine cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, offices, restrooms, and public spaces spotless.
• Follow strict infection control protocols and handle biohazardous materials safely.
• Launder hospital linens: wash, dry, fold, and distribute.
• Safely dispose of animal waste and other materials.
• Restock cleaning supplies and maintain organized storage areas.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Support the veterinary team by ensuring a clean, orderly environment.
• Assist with deceased pet care in a respectful manner.

 What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of housekeeping or cleaning experience (medical or veterinary setting preferred).
• Skills: Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and safe chemical handling (training provided).
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Physical Requirements:
• Lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Comfortable working around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
