Job Description:

As the Stock Plan Services Technology Engineering Head of SPS Brokerage Integration, you blend deep technology, operations and brokerage expertise with a passion for coaching, mentoring and developing managers and associates. You are deeply committed to contributing value to our customer.

The Stock Plan Services business provides technology recordkeeping, digital experiences, reporting and outsourcing solutions for companies in the US and UK including full value awards, stock options and stock appreciation rights, employee stock purchase plans and pre-Initial Public Offering (IPO).

In an agile structure you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to establish the standards for your area and influence the strategic decisions, solution development and work priorities, based on your expertise and experience. You will lead a group of technology leaders (Chapter Leaders / Engineering managers) that directly manage technology associates working on cross-functional squads. You actively bring new ideas, approaches and insights to improve the work and develop new skills and capabilities in your area, enabling associate growth while adding greater value. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

  • Ensuring technology area talent composition aligns with strategic priorities, including workforce planning vital to deliver value and results for customer and the business

  • Supporting, mentoring, developing and enabling technology leaders to deliver increased value to the chapters and squads they support

  • Translating strategic changes and enterprise initiatives from enterprise groups to insights, and impacts to our customers and roadmap

  • Proactively partnering with Business, Product, Operations and Technology leaders to:

    • Advance Stock Plan Record Keeping modernization program and play a key technical leadership role in the program’s delivery and outcomes.

    • Influence strategic decisions and priorities related to your domain of expertise and remove strategic impediments to delivering value

    • Measure performance through established objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to deliver agreed upon business, technology, and people results

    • Support technology leaders to ensure optimization of technology member talent while defining and building learning opportunities connected to the strategic direction of the domains and product areas

    • Reinforce consistency in and application of standards across technology and product, and with similar enterprise groups, and ensure the work performed is aligned with established road maps

    • Actively sharing insights, knowledge, industry practices and developments within your area of expertise, across the organization

    • Work with client implementation teams on client validation testing by creating and maintaining a highly successful test environment

    • Provide leadership support to Stock Plan Services and ensure stability and resiliency across all applications


 

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 15 + years leading technology teams with a deep background in Stock Plans with a healthy blend of wealth and brokerage integration, operations and regulatory solutions

  • Senior level experience leading, coaching, mentoring and developing people and teams

  • Experience identifying and acquiring strategic talent needs; and strategic resource planning and talent allocation across large and matrixed organizations

  • Relevant technology and/or domain expertise experience

  • Agile leadership experience

  • Demonstrable experience leading and running global support teams

  • Proven experience building and maintaining client testing environments and collaborating with Implementation teams

  • You are a committed and inspirational people leader capable of developing others within your knowledge area to accelerate and achieve increased skill proficiency

  • You have good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence decisions and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organization

  • You have a continuous improvement approach and encourage and enable an agile way of working
