Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is looking for a result-oriented and experienced finance professional to join its North America Theatre finance team as a Senior Sales Finance Manager - North America.
In this role, you will partner with the Sales Team to help build and execute the Sales team's targets. You will also collaborate with different Sales teams to understand and meet their financial needs.
You will use critical thinking and fact-based analysis to solve problems and challenge the status quo. You will also develop best-in-class value propositions through action-oriented decision-making and reporting. Finally, you will use exceptional skills in financial modeling and analytics to solve financial problems
Your Impact
- Develop deep understanding of sales organization and partner with sales leaders to align business and financial goals
- Contribute to the planning and forecasting processes across the organization, utilizing internal financial forecast models, systems, and tools
- Build, maintain, and improve models to refine near-term and long-term bookings growth and profitability projections
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations through data analysis (e.g. variance analysis, economic valuation of strategic initiatives), ensuring a high degree of accuracy
- Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g. finance, IT, sales ops) to continually improve alignment, consistency, data integrity, and automation
- Fulfill ad-hoc requests to support executive decision making
- Deliver monthly/quarterly quantitative and qualitative analysis of the financial results, including variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted
- Provide insightful and actionable recommendations for decision-making through data analysis to senior management of North America Sales
- Collaborate daily with the Director of Sales Finance North America to enhance the service delivery to internal stakeholders and drive business growth
- Execute on requests from business partners, corporate FP&A, accounting, and other cross-functional teams
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify, recommend, and execute high-potential sales initiatives
- Drive and provide support for ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses
- Senior Managers should expect to manage analyst(s) and/or interns
Qualifications
Your Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economic related field
- MBA preferred
- 7~9 years of Finance experience, including at least 3+ years in Sales Finance and driving FP&A processes
- Prior roles in investment banking, private equity, or High Tech Industry is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems and data visualization tools (e.g. SFDC, SAP BPC, Tableau, Einstein Analytics)
- Willingness and ability to adapt to rapid business and organizational changes
- Strong team player, and independent thinker, with high intellectual and emotional intelligence
- Have negotiation skill set
- Deadline-driven, organized, and able to multi-task with the willingness to adapt to the rapid business and organizational demands that result from a high-growth environment
