Senior Accountant

This is a remote position.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday 8 AM - 5 PM Los Angeles, CA Pacific Time (11:00 PM - 8:00 AM Manila time) with a 1-hour unpaid break (some flexibility on these hours if required)
  
• Client Timezone: Los Angeles, CA Pacific Time, but managing clients across California and Texas

This established financial services firm has been operating for over 30 years, originally founded by the current owner’s father. The business has recently transitioned to a virtual model, leveraging video conferencing to serve clients remotely. With a focus on personalized service, they work closely with clients to review financial data, optimize strategies, and provide expert guidance.

Job Description

Join a dynamic virtual team as a Senior Client-Facing Accountant. In this key role, you’ll leverage your technical expertise and communication skills to analyze complex financial information and directly advise clients. You’ll build trusted relationships while discussing sensitive matters, providing clarity on financial strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze detailed client financial statements, tax returns, reports, and documentation
  
• Identify opportunities, potential issues, and develop optimized recommendations
  
• Conduct video meetings to communicate insights in a clear, easy-to-understand manner
  
• Build rapport and trust when discussing clients’ personal financial matters
  
• Effectively manage multiple concurrent client priorities and deadlines
  
• Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting/finance experience
  
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory level experience with the ability to manage and develop financial policies, procedures, and team productivity.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field
  
• Exceptional communication abilities to explain complex topics clearly
  
• Strong analytical skills and acute attention to detail
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
  
• CPA license is required
  
• Work experience in the audit department.
