JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Seeking RA to build an internal website for a lab experiment. The work can be done remotely. The RA will be compensated monetarily while gaining research experience and collaborating with digital marketing experts. Our research team consists of Sean Melessa, a tenure track professor at PSU; Poet Larsen, a doctoral candidate at USC; and Paul Hoban, a senior economist manager at Amazon. The exact amount of work required is to be determined, but it’s estimated that 30-60 hours of work will need to be completed between May and July 2024. Further collaboration opportunities may be available. Applicants with computer science experience and/or education are preferred but not required.

 

The RA position requires experience in:

  • Python/C++ (or another backend language).
  • SQL.
  • JavaScript + HTML.

Further description of website to be built:

Research subjects will interact with this website while various aspects of the website are randomly manipulated, after which subjects will complete a survey.  We will build the website in a way that randomly allocates different creative content and images across subject/user interactions with the site. Our team previously built a website like this and will oversee the RA’s development of a new website.
