Summary/Primary Role:

This role is responsible for leading the on-site execution of ground-up commercial construction projects with a strong emphasis on mechanical systems integration and early-phase construction. The position requires a highly experienced, results-driven construction professional with a proven track record managing full project lifecycles—from preconstruction and mobilization through commissioning and closeout. This individual will serve as the on-site leader, driving coordination across drilling operations, mechanical installation, and general construction activities, while ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the senior on-site construction leader, overseeing all phases of ground-up commercial projects, with particular focus on drilling operations, mechanical systems, and foundation/early construction activities.
  • Manage full project lifecycle responsibilities, including preconstruction planning, mobilization, execution, and project closeout.
  • Lead coordination and integration of mechanical systems (including geothermal and HVAC) within the broader construction process.
  • Direct and manage subcontractors, field teams, and vendors to ensure alignment with project goals, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Own and drive project schedules, budgets, and cost controls, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Enforce and continuously improve site safety programs, ensuring full compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact on-site for general contractors, clients, and key stakeholders, effectively managing expectations and resolving issues.
  • Oversee contract execution and administration, with a strong understanding of scopes, sequencing, and trade coordination.
  • Provide leadership in reviewing and coordinating submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and technical documentation, particularly related to mechanical systems.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration between field operations, engineering, and project management teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff and site personnel, fostering a high-performance, accountable jobsite culture.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with demonstrated success in senior or lead field roles.
  • Commercial mechanical systems and foundation/early construction management experience preferred.
  • Proven experience managing full lifecycle, ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Strong background in mechanical systems (HVAC, geothermal, piping, or similar) and their integration into new construction.
  • Hands-on experience with early-phase construction, including sitework, drilling, and foundations.
  • Deep understanding of construction safety, scheduling, cost control, and contract management.
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex, fast-paced job sites.

Supervisory Responsibility: 

  • This position has supervisory responsibility.

Expected Hours of Work: 

An Employee must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled.
