The Senior Director, Global Immunoassay Product Management for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading a team of Product Managers, a critical champion for future & on-market products and leads our culture of innovation internally and externally.  This role will be responsible for strategic leadership of Beckman Coulter’s most important growth opportunities, maximizing core business and adjacent market growth through innovation, partnerships, and lifecycle management. You will be a part of the Immunoassay Product and Program Management leadership team and report to the Vice President, Immunoassay Innovation, Product & Program Management.

 

This is a high-visibility position that will interact with senior leaders throughout the company and Danaher including but not limited to research and development, manufacturing, clinical affairs, commercial operations, global marketing, legal, regulatory, and executive leadership of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics and Danaher. We are seeking a candidate who is patient-care and customer-oriented, comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We are looking for a proven people leader with who can collaborate across groups and foster an environment that is inclusive to all.  Your experience with continuous improvement environments will be a bonus, enabling your successful immersion into our Danaher Business System (DBS) culture.  This position will be located at our Center of Excellence for Immunoassay in Chaska, MN. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Define disease leadership strategies in partnership with Product Portfolio & Strategy Managers, lead thorough market research and assessments to understand unmet clinical needs and technological trends, and identify & lead implementation of actionable new product ideas

  • Adopt an “outside-in” perspective to identify new product development opportunities to enhance Beckman Coulter’s strategic positioning within core and attractive adjacent markets

  • Translate top new product ideas into detailed and clear product definitions that are compelling & competitive in the market and feasible for our New Product Development (NPD) core teams to execute on

  • Lead a high-performing team of global Product Managers, fostering a team culture of excellence and continuous improvement that prioritizes cross-functional business leadership, data-driven decision-making, and associate learning & development

  • Be an active leader for the CCIA BU while strongly partnering with R&D and Clinical & Regulatory Affairs to drive assay innovation execution by guiding the Product Managers within our NPD core teams

  • Collaborate  with Global Marketing, Market Access, & other cross-functional stakeholders to bring new products to market and drive excellent launches while providing customer centric solutions and systems for continuous feedback

  • Champion a culture of creativity and collaboration across all stages of the product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization

 

The minimum requirements for this role include:

  • Successful candidates will have 20+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, engineering and/or medicine OR 18+ years of experience with a Master's degree in biological sciences, engineering and/o
