Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation seeks to hire a Language Access Supervisor who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Language Access Supervisor, you will:
• Provide language interpretation in various medical settings (i.e. admission, ER, behavioral health, labor and delivery, internal medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, other specialty areas, outpatient, and more)
• Observe interpreter standards of practice such as maintaining professional boundaries, respecting patients’ rights, and remaining neutral while supporting patient-provider relationship
• Supervise function of the LAS team (role involves but is not limited too)
• Complete daily schedule
• Communicate program and/or process changes to Language Access providers, leadership, and staff as needed
• Work with appropriate AHC entity to meet the standards for the Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies related to interpretation services
• Participate in the management of Language Access Services budget
• Track interpreter utilization and performance data to identify utilization trends and process improvement opportunities

Qualifications include:
• Associate’s degree or equivalent coursework in a healthcare related field preferred
• Must have at least two years of experience as a healthcare interpreter
• Professional interpreting certification, such as Certified Medical Interpreter, preferred

Work Schedule:

Work Schedule: M-F 8AM - 4:30PM or similar schedule, on-site at either Rehabilitation Hospital location.
