Title - NICU Clinical Dietitian

Location - Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA

Sign On Bonus - $7,500

Aramark Healthcare has an immediate need for a NICU Dietitian at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of our tiniest patients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide individualized nutrition care for premature and critically ill infants in our 45 bed, Level III NICU.

About the Hospital - Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is the flagship hospital of the Phoebe Health System, located in Albany, GA. It has more than 440 beds and offers a range of services, such as wound care, cardiovascular care, cancer care, orthopaedics, and women’s and children’s health. It was founded in 1911 and is one of Georgia’s oldest medical centers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assessing the nutritional needs of NICU patients and monitoring their growth and development.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. This includes participating in quality improvement initiatives and meetings.
  • Covering the Outpatient NICU follow-up clinic 2-4 days per month.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely patient records, including progress notes and growth charts.
  • Plotting anthropometric data on growth charts.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in neonatal nutrition care.
  • Covering our inpatient general pediatric unit which has a census of 1-10 patients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition or related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential.
  • Licensed Dietitian status in the state of Georgia or the ability to obtain licensure within 1 month.
  • Certified Lactation Counselor credentials or ability to obtain certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Experience working in a NICU or pediatric setting preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care.
