What You’ll Do
The Senior Project Manager will lead Rural King’s IT project management function, overseeing initiatives that drive digital transformation and omni-channel growth across the enterprise. This role manages a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts focused on e-commerce, data, and system integration projects. The Senior Project Manager provides strategic direction, ensures alignment with business priorities, and drives consistent delivery practices across the IT portfolio.
- Oversee project planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Establish consistent project management standards, templates, and communication frameworks.
- Partner with IT leadership to align resources, timelines, and deliverables with strategic objectives.
- Manage enterprise technology initiatives involving digital commerce platforms, order management systems, product information management tools, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Provide oversight on requirements gathering, sprint planning, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and process gaps while driving continuous improvement.
- Report on project performance, budgets, and KPIs to IT and executive stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts supporting both e-commerce and omni-channel initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the project management and business analysis teams.
- Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
- Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success
- 7+ years of IT project management experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven success managing complex digital or omni-channel technology initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, Jira-based project tracking, and software delivery lifecycles.
- Experience leading or mentoring project managers and business analysts.
- Ability to provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and motivate team member to deliver high quality results.
- Familiarity with enterprise commerce systems, cloud infrastructure, and data analytics platforms.
