PURPOSE:
Under the general supervision of the Director of OSI, the OSI- HRIS Analyst is responsible for providing functional expertise, support, and maintenance of the HR and Finance applications, specifically focusing on the Time & Labor, Absence Management, and Payroll modules. The role serves as a liaison between the campus, the Chancellor’s Office (CO), State Controller’s Office (SCO), and other campus Payroll/HR departments to ensure the smooth operation of CSUMB’s Payroll, Time and Absence management functions. Additionally, the analyst also assists in planning, implementation, and operations related to HR and Finance applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Application Support and Maintenance:
Act as the subject matter expert for all Common Human Resource System (CHRS) modules, with a primary focus on Time & Labor, Absence Management, and Payroll. Provide day-to-day functional support for resolving application issues and troubleshooting queries related to HR and Finance departments. Develop and implement workflows for time and absence approvals, integrating new approval processes from the CHRS rollout. Assist functional teams in creating and maintaining queries and reports for HR and Finance applications. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to identify operational efficiencies and implement solutions to streamline processes. Provide support for integrations with third-party applications that utilize HR and Finance data.
