About the role
The HR Business Partner (HRBPs) are responsible for strategically partnering with Auctane’s senior leaders on a range of matters, acting as a single point of contact for the functions they partner with. We provide value-added service to our employees that reflects our business objectives to ensure our strategies around talent attraction, retention and development are timely and effective.
This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located in Austin, Texas.
About the team
The Global People Team at Auctane is dedicated to serving the needs of the business and the team members who keep it running. As a team, we work across employee relations, talent acquisition, HR operations, talent management, health and welfare benefits, HRIS, compensation, worker’s compensation, performance management, learning and development, and project management. Though we’re a fast-moving team with a lot of responsibilities, we work together to ensure that every aspect of an employee’s experience is thoughtfully considered and weighed against the values of the organization. We support five offices located in Poland, Spain, UK, Australia, and the USA.
What will you be doing?
- Use your strong business acumen and talent management skills to work with, advise, and consult the functional leaders, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Guide leadership through Talent Management programs, cycles, policies, and philosophy such as performance and pay planning
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning and M&A
- Manage and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of human resources experience in multinational companies (technology company preferred)
- 2+ years partnering with a business unit or functional area (software, sales or engineering strongly preferred)
- Strong track record of building credibility with executives & managers
- Strong background of working across multiple human resource disciplines, including: compensation, employee relations, talent development, performance management, and employment law in a variety of states &/or countries
- High agility by embracing innovative ideas, being comfortable with iterative ways of working, synthesizing a wide range of information, and possessing the ability to navigate multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to advise and influence executive leaders and their teams on sensitive topics
- Proficient in organizational design, team effectiveness, change management and communication planning
- Strong understanding of risk and risk management in a variety of employment matters
- Demonstrated collaboration skills

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
