Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Coordinator provides disciplined project management, coordination and oversight of the plant capital, non-routine, and base projects.

 

What you will do:

• Coordination and execution of field construction activities for capital projects, non-routine maintenance projects, and MOC projects as assigned
• Safe execution of all capital projects by leading through example, ensuring safety is incorporated into planning and own projects, ensuring Contract Construction Coordinators are aware of and adhere to site safety protocols, ensure investigation and follow-up to incidents on projects is completed
• Accountable for performance and deliverables of Contract Project Construction Coordinators, including but not limited to onboarding, overtime control, and approval
• Work assignment of Contract Project Construction Coordinators to individual projects, including determining supplemental contract Project Construction Coordinator staffing needs
• Supervise any supplemental contract labor dedicated to projects
• First contact for construction consultation and development for Project Managers/Engineers
• Coordinate and track project specific supplies and equipment
• Roll-out implementation of field level safety protocols to project construction teams including field level incident investigations
• Interface with planning and scheduling group to ensure project needs are met
• Manage field execution of projects as required
• Primary field liaison for capital projects, maintenance, operations, and safety

 

What you will bring:

• 5 years maintenance exp in an industrial or petro chemical plant or college degree
• Knowledge of Quality Control Processes.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations including OSHA
• Project planning and scheduling experience
• Scheduling techniques and software
• Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software with SAP preferred
