Advocates Inc is seeking a compassionate Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to provide respite in the Pulaski area for young lady with a developmental disability. Her family is looking for a dedicated, outgoing individual to provide her with support and supervision while at home and in the community.
In this critical role, your responsibilities include but are not limited to providing supervision at her home, supporting her during community outings, and making sure her health and safety needs are fulfilled.
The ideal candidate for this DSP position will have strong effective communication skills, dependability, and is enthusiastic and creative. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience.
Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. DSP must have a valid email address.
Hours and days of work
Approx. 15 hours wk.
Monday through Friday: Day and Evening hours open. Along with some weekend hours.
Pay rate: $20 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $15.50 per hour.
Location: Pulaski, NY

Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid email address.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance if required for the job assigned.

- Must be able to tolerate a moderate noise level in the work environment and must be able to handle distractions.
