We re-invent flying and make individual air mobility as normal as driving a car – opening the sky for everyone.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>We are looking for a talented and experienced Design Engineer to join our growing company in the aviation industry. You will be responsible for designing specialized components and structures for the CycloRotor, our new innovative propulsion system for aviation.<br/> As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Take a responsibility of a system owner and take care of internal resources availability, budget and project time management</li><li>Mechanical design and construction of parts, components and assemblies using lightweight materials and composite structures.</li><li>Development of kinematic mechanisms, for eg.: pitch control of rotor blades as well as structural parts and assemblies</li><li>Conception and design of assembly and test devices for rotors and flight demonstrators</li><li>Selection and coordination of external development partners and suppliers</li><li>Approval and evaluation of sourced components and assemblies</li><li>Oversee the fabrication of components and structures. Take part in testing and evaluation to validate their performance, making necessary adjustments to the design as required</li><li>Work closely with a cross-functional teams like: systems engineers, stress engineers, aerodynamic engineers, prototype &amp; test engineers and others</li><li>Supervision of development projects from idea to final prototype</li><li>Maintain detailed records of design changes and other engineering data</li><li>Create comprehensive technical documentation and report</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Completed technical education (bachelor or masters degree), ideally with a specialization in mechatronics or mechanical engineering</li><li>Min 10 years of experience in design and construction of complex parts in aviation industries</li><li>Experience in technical leading of projects</li><li>Proficiency in CAD software CREO for creating 3D models and engineering drawings/documentation</li><li>Experience with PLM systems is of advantage</li><li>English language skills (upper-intermediate level)</li><li>A solution orientated and hands-on approach</li><li>A creative and analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skill</li><li>A collaborative and communicative attitude with strong interpersonal skills</li><li>Passion for innovation and excellence in the aviation industry</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Exciting and challenging development work on a revolutionary technology in a young dynamic team</li><li>Short decision-making processes and varied tasks</li><li>The chance to develop and shape the company in your domain and to develop your technical and managerial skills</li><li>An international team</li><li>Hybrid working model, when sustainable</li><li>Team events: BBQs, happy hours, teambuilding activities</li><li>Market oriented &amp; experience-based remuneration</li></ul>
