As an experienced Research Associate, you will be responsible for supporting our teams and programs by generating top-quality mRNA drug substance, and for leveraging our internal expertise to further improve our mRNA and processes.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support mRNA production efforts for mRNA drug targets entailing high throughput batch production, characterization, optimization of mRNA processes

• Focus on synthesis and purification of a wide range of mRNA constructs in parallel for fast progression of programs

• Contribute to improvements in stability and potency of mRNA through novel construct designs

• Provide accurate and reproducible execution of analytical characterization for full release panel for mRNA drug substance

• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders

• This will be primarily a lab-based position

About You

• Earned Bachelor's degree (required) or Master's degree (preferred) in a related field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology)

• 4+ years (B.S.) or 2+ years (M.S.) of pharmaceutical/biotech experience

• Demonstrated success in nucleic acid synthesis and/or handling (RNase-Free) and/or application with hands-on experience in mRNA production and/or characterization

• Hands on experience in analytical and molecular biology methods relevant to mRNA would be a plus

• Experience with automation, programming or working within a biotech startup company is helpful

• Demonstrated work within process development or experiment optimization is a plus

• Desire to work in a team-first, fast-paced environment, learn new skills, and to efficiently solve problems

• Attention to detail & meticulous record keeping
