Consulting, Senior Solution Specialist

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Solution Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams, and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications, and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:
• Utilizing Structured Query Language (SQL), Extract Transform & Load (ETL) tools, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Microsoft (MS) Visio diagrams, and Python and Shell scripting languages to convert business requirements into development models;
• Defining systems strategy and support procedures, developing systems requirements, and designing, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing Cloud technology solutions using Confluence and JIRA;
• Performing root cause analysis and documenting results using ServiceNow, JIRA, Azure DevOps tools, and Methodologies including Five Whys (5-Y) analysis and Fishbone diagram;
• Deploying custom developed application, including process design, prototyping, code development and review, unit testing, performance testing, configuration, defect management, production deployment and training, utilizing Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, JIRA, Subversion (SVN), and Github;
• Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and systems development life cycle (SDLC), utilizing Waterfall and Agile methodologies, ETL and Reporting tools, Python and Shell Scripting languages, Cloud services, JIRA, Azure Devops, and ServiceNow;
• Converting legacy data according to current system’s data structure using data warehouse concepts, including Daily, History, and Incremental loads, utilizing Microsoft SQL server, Teradata, Oracle, SAS Enterprise guide, IBM InfoSphere DataStage, Informatica, Shell scripting, AutoSys, and AWS; and
• Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and erwin Data Modelling tool.
