Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team as we build and expand our Data as a Service (DAAS) offerings with a primary focus on Snowflake.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in setting up and optimizing DAAS solutions using a variety of tools and platforms, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake on AWS and Azure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data architectures for DAAS solutions, with a primary focus on Snowflake as the central data platform, while also leveraging MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and other technologies on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Lead the setup and configuration of Snowflake environments, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data models and schemas optimized for Snowflake.
• Implement data integration strategies to facilitate seamless data movement across different databases and platforms, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake data sharing capabilities.
• Optimize query performance, data processing pipelines, and resource utilization within Snowflake to enhance the efficiency of DAAS solutions.
• Establish data governance frameworks and best practices within Snowflake to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture designs, standards, and best practices, with a focus on Snowflake-specific configurations and optimizations.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in data management and analytics, with a specific focus on Snowflake features and capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the Snowflake ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a strong emphasis on designing and implementing DAAS solutions using Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including proficiency in setting up and optimizing Snowflake environments, data sharing, and advanced features.
• Familiarity with other databases and data platforms such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques, with a focus on Snowflake best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Certifications in Snowflake and relevant cloud platforms (e.g., SnowPro Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.

The average base salary pay range for this role is between $150,000 -$175,000

May be considered for a discretionary bonus
