LAB ASSISTANT - part-time

Peco Foods Inc. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Lab Assistant for our Microbiology Lab to support sample preparation and laboratory operations.

This is a part-time position working 20-25 hours each week. The work schedule will be day shift Friday through Sunday. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of college coursework with a strong emphasis in life sciences.
• Competent math and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Attention to detail
• Good organizational skills
• Must be able to follow written procedures
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays.
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to work alone
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Laboratory Technology
• Experience in basic laboratory procedures
• Experience in chemical safety procedures
