We’re looking for a Healthcare Informaticist I in Fort Atkinson, WI to help us. 

As a Healthcare Informaticist (HCI), you will provide informatics guidance and act as a liaison between the clinical and IT departments, demonstrating both health care and informatics knowledge to provide innovative solutions. The Healthcare Informaticist role will collaborate with clinicians, providers and ancillary departments in analyzing clinical requirements specific to the organization. The HCI should be knowledgeable in clinical documentation needs, regulations and standard operating procedures essentially in the EHR, to enhance contact.  Participate in testing and validating solutions and clinical documentation tools, current state mapping and future state workflow development, content issue resolution, implementation, optimization and end user support. Have a solid understanding of healthcare strategy, operations and ability to adjust to changing needs. Maintain relationships with department contacts, providing clinical domain expertise. The HCI will collaborate with Informatics team for general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new projects or assignments. 

Basic Qualifications

At least 4 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:

  • At least 1 year of licensed health care practice, health informatics, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or client-facing or other HCIT solution work experience
  • At least 3 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job, including:
    • Licensure, certificate or registration in healthcare related field

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing, Informatics or Information Technology
  • At least 1 year of clinical informatics work experience
  • At least 1 year of Cerner Millennium work experience
  • At least 1 year of clinical work experience related to one of the following areas: surgical, procedural or oncology

Expectations

  • Must reside in or around the Fort Atkinson, WI area
  • Willing to travel locally up to 20% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent d report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Responsible for driving the client through the design of clinical and business processes, solution and technology workflow, and successful adoption that will lead to achieved value.  Lead ongoing relationships with clients, providing account management and clinical domain expertise focusing on client success in using Oracle's solutions.  Through the use of Oracle's implementation approach and methodology, the Consultant will assist in organizational change, help find opportunities for improvement, and is accountable for achieving the project’s targeted outcomes.
