Job Description

The Receptionist/Administrator performs a variety of clerical responsibilities under minimal supervision. Responsible for answering and routing all incoming telephone calls and greeting clients, vendors and visitors to the laboratory. Provides administrative support to the laboratory including correspondences, filing, copying and report production. Receives and routes  incoming mail and is responsible for proper routing of outgoing mail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and provide visitor badges and follow proper sign in/out procedures.
  • Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate associate.
  • Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail.
  • Assists with photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.
  • Responsible for providing full secretarial and administrative support to the management team
  • including managing their calendars
  • Uses an array of business software applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint and Excel) including
  • design software.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies including high-level staff. Handles
  • confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory for office supplies, coffee and kitchen supplies placing necessary orders to  replenish, stock and keep clean and organized.
  • Maintain office machines such as fax, copier, scanner, and call for service when needed. Ensures  paper and toners are available for general use.
  • Responsible for postage meter/scale and postmarking outgoing mail.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant professional experience preferred

Ability and/or Skills:

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Additional Information

Requirements:

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Position is full-time Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Fort Lauderdale, FL are encouraged to apply. 

Pay rate: $18/hr

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
