HTST Operator - Mix Master

This is a 3rd shift role: the hours are 12:00 AM-8:00 AM

Hourly rate: $19.83/hr + $1.10/hr shift premium; opportunity to earn an additional $0.55/hr for certifications, up to 3 certifications.

HTST Process Operator is specifically defined as the activities and job requirements of an individual running a High Temperature, Short-Time Pasteurizer in a manner which meets scheduled production needs with conformance to all PMO Specifications, safety, sanitation & quality requirements. The Mix Master is a crucial role responsible for preparing, mixing, and ensuring the consistent quality of ice cream mixtures. The incumbent will work closely with production teams to create delicious and high-quality ice cream products that meet both taste and safety standards.

Physical Requirements & Essential Skills:

• Hand and wrist movement to grasp, hold and reassemble pipe and dairy clamp fittings

• Time management and Strong team player

• Flex hours: able to work extended hours and flex shifts when necessary.

• Communication skills:  ability to communicate with plant personnel          

• The ability to work weekends is necessary (peak season of 6-7 days a week)

• The ability to continually lift 70lbs and the ability to work 22’ – 25’ in the air

Position Responsibilities:

• Keep proper documentation of pasteurization processes and washes
• Mixing Formulations
• Quality Control
• Collaboration with other team members
• Ingredient management 
• Learn how to unload and pasteurize mix
• Learn to handle all cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
• Ability to tear down and reassemble H.T.S.T., mix tanks and production line machines and equipment
• Cleaning the H.T.S.T., mix tanks, drains, floors, walls, pipes, valves and production machines and equipment 
• Unload sugar & chocolate tankers and complete proper documentation of the processes.
