Job Description

The Whole Foods Market Healthy Retreats Program is a brand-differentiating offer for our team members to transform their health through a natural plant-forward approach to food as wellness. This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the Whole Foods Market Healthy Retreats Program. In addition to project management and event management, this role is responsible for the marketing strategy supporting the program, program effectiveness and engagement of team members post-program. The Healthy Retreat Program Manager will travel up to 20% of the time to offsite wellness retreats, including the current 6-night format and a soon-to-launch mini retreat pilot. This team member will play a critical role in the strategy behind a shorter format retreat and plan to launch to all operating areas in 2026. We are looking for someone with a service mindset who is comfortable engaging one-to-one with team members at all levels of the organization as well as external vendors in the medical field.

This hybrid position is based in Austin, TX and will require a minimum of three days per week in our downtown office.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall program management and coordination for Healthy Retreats, including planning, budgeting, execution, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximize awareness of Healthy Retreats through marketing materials, companywide promotions, and other strategies.
  • Partner with third party specialist to plan program curriculum.
  • Responsible for on-site event scheduling, partner relationships, and safety and risk compliance.
  • Responsible for vendor contract development and ensuring all contracts and SOWs are current.
  • Responsible for identifying success metrics related to the Healthy Retreats Program.
  • Oversee application process and support team member travel.
  • Work with program partners to deliver an exceptional culinary experience.
  • Support and assist with other Wellness Team responsibilities as identified.

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Basic MSFT Office proficiency required (Excel formulas and charts, project planning software, and collaboration tools)
  • Project management OR event management experience required
