About the Opportunity
The CGI Humanitarian Response team applies the CGI approach to mobilize partners in the CGI community to direct resources for response, recovery, and resilience in crisis-affected communities.
CGI is looking to fill the position of Manager, Humanitarian Response to support the continuing expansion of this community and its efforts. This position is under the supervision of the Director of Humanitarian Response. Responsibilities include communication with current and prospective partners, and implementation of the CGI humanitarian response strategy, stewarding partners through the Commitment development process, and identifying opportunities to amplify the work and approaches of Humanitarian Response community members.
Successful candidates for this role will have a background in humanitarian aid and response, will have a global perspective and large professional network, familiarity with the humanitarian landscape, and will be focused on engaging on challenges facing a diverse set of constituencies around the world. Additionally, they will have strong relationship project management experience, people skills, emotional intelligence, plus an intuition for bringing different people and actors together to forge partnerships, and an ability to support execution of high-level events.

Core Responsibilities
Management of Existing and Support in Developing New Commitments to Action:
- Steward a portfolio of existing and new Commitments to Action focused on specific, solutions-oriented humanitarian response initiatives.
- Identify, support and advise on emerging trends in the humanitarian response space that could be applicable to support existing and shape future Commitments to Action.
- Provide targeted support to Commitment-maker partners, including leading timely communication, document review and coordination, and support to partners in the lead up to and during the CGI annual meeting in September 2025.
Support of Humanitarian Response related Action Networks:
- Help drive the CGI Action Network model and implementation for the CGI Ukraine Action Network and Haiti Action Network.
- Support high-level strategic partnerships with key Action Network stakeholders.
- Manage related databases for all Action Networks.
- Help lead Action Network logistics, communication and related events.
Support the development and growth of a diverse community of organizations focused on humanitarian response
- Forge new partnerships across the CGI community and unlock new resources for the network.
- Proactively recruit organizations to join the CGI network and attend CGI events. Examples of target organizations include Fortune 500 companies, large philanthropic institutions, local and community-based organizations, and other global development
