SUMMARY:
In conjunction with the Program Director is responsible for the administration of the program to ensure continued accreditation through the management of documentation required by the ACGME, Specialty Boards and institution; front line interaction with residents and faculty to address the daily operational needs of the program; provides coordination and support of resident recruitment activities; preparation of rotation, monthly, and call schedules.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Collaborates with Program Director to assure GME program meets or exceeds all accreditation requirements.
2. Interpret ACGME requirements, Institutional Policies and Board requirements to assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures.
3. Coordinate and support the Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation Committees to ensure established reporting deadlines are met. Supports other program level meetings as needed.
4. Enter, retrieve and analyze data from the residency management software system. Ensures accurate resident records are kept and maintained.
5. Coordinates GME recruitment and onboarding of matched applicants
6. Coordinates the preparation, posting and revision of rotation, monthly and call schedules
7. Coordinates the communication with GME stakeholders (e.g. GME office, participating sites, department, faculty, ACGME, specialty boards) on a regular basis or as needed.
8. Gather and maintain records for credentialing and reimbursement
9. Orient and monitor medical student rotations as needed.

- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
2 Year/ Associates Degree
Specialty/Major:
Business or Health Care Administration Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:
- 2 years in an office/administrative environment required; 2 years prior graduate medical education experiences as a program coordinator or program specialist, with advanced responsibilities preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Microsoft Office

- Combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.
Working Conditions:
- Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
- Long-distance or air travel as needed- not to exceed 10% travel.
