On our Nutrition team as a Food Service Aide, your job will be to create a healing environment and nutritious food — just like our patients have come to expect. A caregiver in this position works 24 hours per week, Monday-Friday, from 6:00AM – 2:30PM or 10:00AM – 6:30PM. Rotating weekends and holidays will be required.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Prepare quality food items in accordance with production sheets, recipes and menus.
Operate kitchen equipment.
Prepare food on the grill, in ovens or using an induction stove.
Prepare cold food items, vegetables, salad mixes and sandwich spreads.
Select, measure, grind, slice and mix ingredients.
Assist the cook and nutrition assistants.
Assist in the assembly of food for final preparation.
Assemble, transport and pick up patient trays to and from patient rooms.
Assist in preparing, setting up, serving and cleaning up special dinners and luncheons.
Follow proper sanitation procedures to produce, maintain
