We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant BVIS HCMC team.

Key Responsibilities

As EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will: 

  • Support teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.
  • Prepare learning materials, resources, and classroom setups.
  • Assist children during lessons, play, toileting, snack times, nap times, and transitions.
  • Supervise children during break times, lunch, and movement around the school.
  • Work with individual children or small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Support classroom behaviour expectations and model positive attitudes.
  • Maintain tidy learning environments and help create engaging displays.
  • Escort children to the nurse and ensure wellbeing and safety at all times.
  • Assist with school trips, special events, and occasional class cover.
  • Communicate with parents when needed and support translation for teachers.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to classroom activity planning.

What we're looking for

  • Degree or Diploma (Early Years/Primary Education preferred).
  • Experience working with young children (Early Years experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Warm, caring personality with the ability to support young learners effectively.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and basic class management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proactive, organized, patient, responsible, and flexible.
  • Able to show initiative and support learning with enthusiasm.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, child welfare, and school values.
