About the role
What you need to know:
Reporting to: Technical Underwriting Team Leader
Based remotely you will be supporting the Group Individual Assessment Underwriting function with administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner. The Group Underwriting Administrator will play a vital role in maintaining the Individual Assessment inbox as well as supporting registration of scheme members, delivering customer service via phone and email, supporting third party queries, within agreed Key Service Indicator timescales.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage the Individual Assessment inbox, triaging work for yourself and the Underwriters
• Support the registration of new scheme members
• Providing updates and feedback to scheme administrators, members and brokers
• Managing the Individual Assessment phone line
• Supporting all third party medical administration via online portals
• Supporting the restrictions
• Working with the distribution and client service teams to provide administration support to new and existing schemes
What we’re looking for:
• Demonstrable skills in MS Office suite particularly excel.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• A confident and friendly phone manner
• A knowledge of the UK group risk market.
• Up to 12 months group underwriting experience or training
• Strong team working behaviour and welcomes peer review
• Able to work independently
• Adaptable and open to change
• Strong attention to detail
• High degree of numeracy
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Keen to develop business knowledge demonstrated by pursuing CII studies
• High degree of organisation and flexibility
• Takes personal responsibility for results
