What we do:

The Trade Desk is seeking a Senior Accountant to be part of the Close and Reporting team. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Close and Reporting and will be part of a high caliber Accounting and Finance team. The Senior Accountant Accountant will help ensure that all accounting activities are recorded timely and accurately. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, pro-active, eager to learn and contribute to the team.

What you'll do:

  • Participate in month and quarter end closes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions for Corporate-type GL accounts
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly intercompany transactions, invoicing, settlements and reconciliations
  • Liase with EMEA and APAC intercompany counterparts
  • Support transfer pricing arrangements and intercompany loan agreements
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Income Statement for financial and management reporting
  • Coordinate delivery of cross-team deliverables for monthly Management Reporting Package
  • Lead quarterly Flux Analysis process
  • Manage maintenance of our Chart of Accounts, including coordination of new GL accounts, departments, and entities
  • Maintain global accounting calendar
  • Serve as Blackline Adminstrator in conjuction with Finance Systems Team
  • Prepare quarterly disclosure schedule for Commitments and Contingencies
  • Assist management with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as needed
  • Implement process improvements

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in a public company or corporate accounting position is a plus
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, while maintaining accuracy of information and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-starter and exceptional team player
  • Ability to juggle multiple high priorities and have a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions.
