About the role:
The Senior HEMA Analyst will support payment policy initiatives and claims data analytics for Boston Scientific’s Interventional Cardiology business.
Work Mode:
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in one of our local offices in Maple Grove or Arden Hills, MN at least three days per week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Address business questions by leveraging robust data resources, including Medicare payment and claims data, commercial carrier claims data, clinical research information and hospital discharge data. Analyses may be used to:
- Support Medicare payment policy strategy
- Support HEOR initiatives
- Inform clinical trial design
- Inform market models (for strategic planning or investment opportunities)
- Construct calculators, tools and reports
- Develop analytic plans and provide consultative advice to achieve analytics objectives.
- Foster and maintain a collaborative relationship with cross-functional colleagues (marketing, clinical, new business development, corporate sales).
- Maintain high standards for data quality, reporting, and timely project execution.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of work experience in a technical field
- Experience analyzing and solving complex technical problems including issues with health care claims data analysis.
- Experience analyzing Medicare claims data sets.
- Strong understanding of U.S. health care policy and payment systems, including hospital and physician reimbursement.
- Experience developing tools, reports, and other products using claims data.
- Knowledge of statistical methods.
Preferred qualifications
- Formal training in health economics, public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics or related discipline.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, including experience supporting reimbursement strategies for a medical device manufacturer.
- Knowledge of SAS/SQL/Python programming.
- Cardiology industry experience.
- Experience with new technology reimbursement pathways, particularly medical device.

Maximum Salary: $188,300

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
