It enables us to expand on our work across many platforms and bring more of our SEO ideas into practice. As the Senior marketing manager brand, you will be responsible for defining and enforcing Yoast’s brand identity, positioning it as a leader in SEO.

This role involves working with leadership and cross-functional teams to align on brand positioning, evolving brand guidelines, and ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.

You will lead the creative services team and manage critical brand channels, including organic social, PR, influencers, and events, driving initiatives that enhance brand reputation and visibility. You'll lead a team of 10.

We’re looking for a Senior marketing manager brand with a passion for building and protecting brand identity. You should be a strategic thinker, capable of creating a compelling brand narrative and driving its implementation across teams.

Detail-oriented and creative, you can manage multiple brand channels while maintaining consistency and alignment with business goals.

A strong communicator, you’re comfortable collaborating with diverse stakeholders, from executives to creative teams, and you’re proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance Yoast’s brand presence.

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed. 

• 5+ years' experience leading and managing a marketing team.

Brand positioning and identity

• Define and evolve Yoast’s brand positioning, naming, and messaging framework with leadership team collaboration.
• Develop and update brand identity guidelines based on positioning and market trends.
• Act as the guardian for all uses of the Yoast brand identity, ensuring brand consistency.

Creative services

• Oversee all creative design work, including images, illustrations, and videos.
• Provide creative input for priority campaigns, ensuring they resonate with target audiences.
• Collaborate with UX to maintain consistent design across all touchpoints.

Organic social media

• Develop and execute Yoast’s social media strategy in alignment with business objectives and brand positioning.
• Manage a social calendar to sustain and grow Yoast’s presence and reputation with key audiences.
• Monitor and report on the performance of social media initiatives.

PR and influencer marketing

• Create a PR and influencer strategy that identifies key media, influencers, and affiliates to promote Yoast.
• Measure the effectiveness of PR and influencer activities through metrics such as traffic, share of voice, and mentions.

Events and community engagement

• Develop and execute Yoast’s events strategy, including WordPress community events and sector-specific lead-generation events.
• Oversee WordPress Community initiatives, including the Diversity & Care Fund, to enhance Yoast’s brand presence and community impact.
