This is a seasonal position within the Amer Sports Customer Service team. The approximate dates of employment would be October 1st, 2025 through April 1st, 2026. This position does not allow for remote work. It is 100% on-site and in-person at our Ogden, UT Service Center.

What You'll Do

As a member of the After Sales Service & Warranty team, the After Sales technician is responsible for assessing consumer and dealer warranty claims for all Amer Sports brands. This includes physical and virtual inspection of products to determine the validity of warranty claims. The role will be to provide product knowledge to the Customer Service team and assist them in identifying solutions for dealers and consumers. This role has daily responsibility for managing warranty claims and communicating outcomes with dealers and consumers via email/phone. Responsible for daily duties in the service center, including cleaning, organizing, shipping, receiving, and assisting brand leaders with projects within the service center. This role is accountable for meeting targeted metrics to their assigned accounts.        

 

This position will be supporting customers in Quebec, Canada. French language skills are not required, but candidates who demonstrate the ability to speak and write French at a conversational level are eligible for pay differential.  

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily: 

  • Reinforce a positive and supportive day to day team environment
  • Own the warranty process from initiation to closure to ensure satisfaction of our internal and external customers and drive repeat business.
  • Build strong relationships with our dealers and sales representatives by focusing on customer needs, problem solving, and follow-through.
  • Inspect product returns and make decisions, consistent with Amer Sports warranty policy and procedure, regarding warranty coverage or denial
  • Manage new warranty claims. Utilize Salesforce to manage communication with dealers and consumer support team regarding warranty claims
  • Support the customer service team by responding to inquires (Salesforce, phone, email)
  • Lead product and spare parts training to the customer service team, including use of spare parts manual, binding certification and compatibility, and general product knowledge
  • Create orders in SAP to credit or send replacement products to customers
  • Assisting brand and category leaders with various projects within the service center
  • Ongoing review warranty orderbook to ensure fulfillment of warranty and spare parts orders
  • Manage non-inventoried spare parts, including labeling, bagging, and organizing spare parts for boots, bindings, and skis
  • Manage inventoried spare parts, including monitoring inventory levels, working with logistics team to order additional parts.
  • Perform day-to-day duties at the service center, including cleaning, organizing, shipping, and receiving

What We're Looking For

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

  • Experience using SAP, or similar Point-of-Sale / order management system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience using Salesforce, or similar CRM tool
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to empathize with customers in sometimes tense situations
  • Self-Driven, able to hold self-accountable to KPIs and Targets
  • Ability to adapt to change priorities and business needs,
  • Excellent communication skills and self-confidence to work independently in an array of business areas.
  • Basic mechanical and repair skills.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to become Armada, Atomic, Salomon Certified technician

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience, optimally in B2B, consumer goods business
  • 6 months related experience-ski shop or outdoor sports retailer preferred, but not required
