As part of that focus, we deliver data and AI/ML centric products to improve the safety, reliability, and affordability of energy for PG&E’s customers while playing a key role in providing a data management platform for all of PG&E, building products for users, and enabling the data governance practices needed to improve trust in data.

 

A critical part of how we work is to apply design thinking, DevOps, Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and methodologies. Through these principles, we work as cross functional teams to help deliver valued data products to our business partners.

 

Position Summary

The Data Analytics and Insights team is seeking an experienced and talented Data Quality (DQ) Tech Lead to join our growing team of analytics experts. As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in the design, development, and maintenance of data management practice, which includes data sources, data pipelines, data applications, reports, and dashboards. We are looking for an initiative-taking, meticulous, and motivated individual who can thrive in a demanding environment and help us scale our data management technology enablement to meet our clients' ever-evolving needs. The DQ Tech Lead will collaborate with our cross functional team including solution architects, data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists on DQ technology initiatives and will enable continuous improvement of critical data for the Enterprise.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $132,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $226,000.00
 

 

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop data quality lifecycle processes and technology.
• Engage with cross functional team of experts including solution architects, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Enterprise Data Management (EDM) to devise data source system integration patterns and data quality solutions.
• Owns developing and implementing enterprise tools to support data quality solutions that drive the continuous improvement in business process and applications.
• Implement the Target State Architecture (TSA) to continuously improve the EDM tech stack in partnership with architects
• Mentors and reviews work of less experienced staff.

 

Qualifications

Minimum

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
• 7 years of experience as a data quality engineer or in a similar role managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization

• Masters Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
• Leadership experience, development teams
