Raytheon is seeking a uniquely talented Technology Professional, experienced working with engineers and suppliers, to fill a challenging, but extraordinarily rewarding role. As the Technology Sourcing Associate Director within the Supply Chain Commodity, Sourcing & Execution, you will lead a team of Technology Sourcing Strategists supporting critical sourcing decisions across a wide range of commodities. You will play a critical role in performing market research and supporting the translation of Raytheon’s key technology needs into supplier prospecting initiatives. You will assist in cataloging supplier capabilities and contribute to improving the accuracy and efficiency of aligning requirements with suppliers. In this role, you will help drive down risk within the supply base by fostering strategies that promote increased competition. Collaborating closely with your team, you will leverage their technical expertise to identify risks, propose potential mitigations, monitor technology disruptors, and provide valuable market and technology insights to support product and technology solution development as well as long-term sourcing strategies. Additionally, you will support the growth and development of your team, enhancing their contributions and improving overall efficiency and effectiveness. You will be the OSCQ representative for joint ownership, development and maintenance of technology and supplier roadmaps with Engineering. You will translate these strategic directions into tactical execution via your daily interactions with OSCQ, the Technical Area Lead (TAL)/Technical Director (TD) community, Program Engineering and your team. Your efforts will support evolving and shaping Raytheon’s supply base directly tied to Raytheon’s enterprise and business priorities.
What You Will Do:
In this position, you will lead your team to develop, refine and execute a set of processes and tools that align technologies and suppliers, ensuring they are mapped to Raytheon’s current and emerging technology and product needs.
You and your team will work with technology fellows, subject matter experts, product area leads, composability architects, supplier teams, and other cross-functional leaders to design for supply base optimization.
You will advocate for investment (IRAD, Capital) in key technologies, with a focus on feasible and necessary implementation of required technologies with suppliers.
You will be responsible to ensure that Raytheon’s OSCQ Teams are provided with the technology expertise necessary for establishing cutting edge strategies that drive Raytheon’s business success.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience/familiarity with DoD Programs and Requirements

Qualifications We Prefer:
Broad/generalist experience in a technical capacity across multiple technology areas
Experience working closely with numerous suppliers in a technical capacity
Experience in developing, improving and/or managing internal or external supplier relationships
Flexibility to travel approx. 10% of the time
Masters or other advanced degree
Existing relationships with relevant engineering functions and key personnel
Demonstrated ability to identify needs and develop and deploy processes that support sourcing strategy development.
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation development and delivery
Demonstrated business acumen
Existing relationships with key suppliers in multiple technology areas
CORE Expert, ASQC Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification
