Aligned Orthopedic Partners is recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our office in Bethesda, MD
What you will do:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the monthly preparation of financial statements by applying GAAP and Company accounting policies for assigned practices. This individual will analyze financial statement trends and variances and effectively communicate business drivers of the variances.
- Directly responsible for financial statement close cycle; to include preparation of GAAP and management reports of designated practices within 5-business days.
- Perform timely and accurate account reconciliations for the entire business.
- Responsible for all balance sheet reconciliations for the entire platform.
- Provides practice monthly financial analysis and works closely with practice management on:
- Departmental expense review with fluctuation analysis
- Revenue cycle review with fluctuation analysis
- Segment profitability with fluctuation analysis
- Support Pro Forma development for organic and capex initiatives.
- Support annual budget process.
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset depreciation schedule by various categories according to company policy.
- Calculate and analyze quarterly Physician compensation bonuses; and provide detailed supporting schedules for all components within the calculation.
- Labor analysis.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local and audit requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, preferred concentration in Accounting or finance required, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- CPA preferred.
- 3 years of accounting/finance experience; directly involved in financial close cycle.
- Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and advanced formulas.
- Working knowledge of financial systems, such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite
- Working knowledge of business intelligence/reports software, such as PowerBI or Tableau.
- Working knowledge of 3rd party payroll processing system, preferably Paylocity.
- Proven experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience working in diverse environments.
