Position Specific Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented senior software developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about delivering resilient and expandable web services for an enterprise-class platform. In this capacity you will be working with engineers, developers and product management to launch new applications, iterate on existing features and be integral to developing our flagship product and be part of an agile team that functions as a ‘startup'.
The candidate will create back-end web services, integrate applications, and conduct unit testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and enhancing applications & follow the release life cycle. The development methodology may depend upon the complexity and/or the urgency of the application or task.
WHAT YOU NEED:
•    Knowledge of native client technologies and frameworks like C#, .NET Core, WPF
•    Experience with software performance measurements using telemetry techniques
•    Experience with Node JS, npm, nx
•    Knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML 5, and CSS 3
•    Knowledge of Git, JIRA, Confluence
•    Familiar with Cloud Services, we primarily use AWS
•    Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design
•    Strong knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
•    Willingness to ramp up on new technologies and adopt solution from within the company or from the Open Source community
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    BS in Computer Science, or a related field
RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Experience must include architectural design and development.
•    Develop new applications, components, or modules to meet functionality requirements
•    Implement security requirements to ensure a secure application environment and follow application accessibility
•    Builds wireframes, prototypes, and documentation that articulate site and application structure and organization.
•    Captures web-based system requirements including customer experience, and operational and usability requirements.
•    Developing various AWS services such as API, RDS instance, and Lambda to build a serverless application
•    Ensures ease of navigation and simplicity of design.
•    Knowledge of SPA, Angular, Karma, Jasmin test framework, Html5, bootstrap, node.js and AWS are a plus
 

Job Overview

This position writes and tests software to aid in development and support of products.  Individuals in this role work with Technical Leads on software system architecture and service design and typically leads a module in the system.  This position participates in required product development process ceremonies.  Employees in this role are responsible for writing and refining technical requirements and technical design documentation.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Codes in multiple languages in support of software products and the development of software products
• Conducts system testing and codes unit tests and support features
• Documents technical requirement and other technical documentation
• Works with product team to refine product requirements
• Collaborates on high level software design projects and software system architecture and creates effective component level architectures
• Leads software module construction from architecture and design to implementation and may lead a small team of engineers in building the module
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience: 7+ years
