JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Abdominal Organ Research Intern
Reports to: Abdominal Organ Research Specialist

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

•    Perform experiments related to Kidney product development.
•    Assist in data collection, including sample preparation, data recording and basic analysis.
•    Plan and prepare for conduct of experiments in the lab.
•    Assist with OCS circuit setup

•    Prepare perfusate and medications
•    Collect and organize data

•    Participate in lab procedures related to the experiments.

•    Exposure to perfusion-based lab skills
•    Other TransMedics tasks and duties as assigned

•    Commitment of up to 30 hours/week
BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Proficiency with Microsoft office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

•    Interest in biomedical research
LEARNING OUTCOMES
•    Understand kidney physiology and perfusion parameters
•    Develop foundational data visualization skills
•    Strengthen scientific communication through team collaboration and weekly briefings
