Lead the Future of Clinical Nutrition Excellence

With the full support and delegated authority of the Board of Trustees and the Medical Staff, this leadership role offers the opportunity to direct, coordinate, and elevate the quality of nutrition care across all areas of our medical center—including specialty services.

In this dynamic position, you will:

  • Shape the vision of our clinical nutrition program by developing and implementing strategic quality plans
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, performance measurement, and actionable recommendations
  • Empower clinicians by overseeing robust training and competency programs
  • Lead with purpose by crafting business and financial plans, submitting budget proposals, and monitoring outcomes
  • Ensure excellence and compliance with standards set by SMC, DNV, the Washington State Department of Health, and other regulatory bodies
  • Manage critical systems, including the A la Carte database, to support seamless nutrition services.


As a key leader, you will also:

  • Champion talent development by interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating clinical nutrition staff across all campuses
  • Collaborate across systems, coordinating program requirements and system changes with Providence leaders—examples include Epic integration, diet order protocols, malnutrition documentation, and Nutrition Formulary selection

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics
  • Completion of an approved Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND) Dietetic Education Program
  • Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Upon hire: 
    • Washington Dietitian Certification --or--
    • Washington Dietitian Temporary Practice Permit --or--
    • Washington Nutritionist Certification
  • 5 years of clinical nutrition management in a large, high-volume operation required
  • Analyzing department budgets
  • Customer service environment

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics
  • Managing multiple sites

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
