As a Senior Venue Sourcing Consultant, you will:

  • Initiate venue searches and leverage client-preferred properties for optimal venue selection.
  • Consult with clients on site selection, and negotiate contract terms, ensuring alignment with their goals and procurement practices.
  • Organize and conduct site visits, representing clients and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Maximize client savings through strategic negotiations and ensure accurate tracking of commissions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners.

 

You may also:

  • Attend and present at industry conferences and client meetings.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and coach for junior team members.
  • Participate in industry events and venue familiarization trips to enhance your knowledge and client service.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to recommend improvements and efficiencies.

 

You’re good at:

  • Navigating complex negotiations with a focus on maximizing value for clients.
  • Managing multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and communicating clearly under pressure.
  • Establishing strong professional relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Utilizing technology, such as Cvent and Microsoft Office Suite, to enhance operations.

 

You should know:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in venue sourcing and hotel conference management is essential.
  • Both domestic and international sourcing experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional presence are critical for success in this role.
  • Travel requirements may include 0-25% based on program needs.
  • A college degree is preferred, along with certifications such as CMP being a plus.
  • This role is virtual and operates in the Eastern Time Zone.
