AVP, Payments Product ManagementACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENTThe Assistant Vice President of Payment Product Management plays a crucial role in managing and developing payment-related products and services within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, product development, market analysis, and collaboration with various departments to ensure the success and growth of payment products. Products include ATM, ACH, Credit, Debit, Alternate Payments, and Loyalty.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Leads the product vision and strategy for VyStar’s ATM, ACH, credit, debit, alternate payments and rewards portfolios including Product Roadmap development and ongoing management of the portfolio. Reprioritizes based on shifts in the industry and/or credit union strategy.

- Responsible for all new product and services business cases to determine ROI and key success factors and presenting to executive committees for approval.
- Attends industry leading conferences on Payments and participates in thought leadership speaking engagements in both written and verbal form.
- Responsible for staying updated on relevant payment regulations and ensure that the organization's payment products are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Leads formal recommendations to Senior Management, Board of Directors, and ALCO Committee for new products and services, price/rate changes, etc. Implements changes accordingly. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, including pricing strategies, feature enhancements, and ongoing product optimization.
- Leads the execution of new products and enhancements, collaborating with and coordinating the activity of marketing, operations, production, IT, Risk Management and other staff to ensure successful, timely and efficient creation and delivery of ATM, ACH, card and loyalty products and services.
- Develop and manage budgets related to payment product development, marketing, and or Vendor and Partner Management
- Collaborate with various departments, such as marketing, sales, finance, and technology, to ensure successful product launches, sales, and member support.
- Leads merger and acquisition activity related to ATM, ACH, cards and loyalty, including contract negotiations, determining product gaps/alignment/strategy, and onboarding new members onto ATM, ACH, card and loyalty products as seamlessly as possible.
- Partners with VyStar’s fraud team to implement effective Fraud detection and prevention strategies to mitigate fraud losses while ensuring an appropriate balance between risk and member experience at application, point of sale and within member contact points.
- Manages relationships with third-party vendors, payment processors, and strategic partners to enhance product offerings and capabilities. Leads negotiations of multi-million- dollar key vendor contracts.
- Leads and/or performs data analysis by mining information from various data sources and constructing data into meaningful, actionable information to assist business units in meeting strategic objectives. Identifies areas of opportunity through analysis of key performance metrics/indicators for portfolios.
- Serves as a core team participant for projects and implementations related to ATM, ACH, cards and loyalty. Partners with project management office in the creation of business requirements, functional design documents, and test plans. Performs end-user testing. Partners with Information Systems to resolve product defects.
- Gathers data needed to plan and execute promotional campaigns and provides post-campaign results. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of payment products and make data-driven decisions for improvements.
- Leads product growth discussions and financial input into AOP.
