Job Description

As a Unarmed Security Guard - Retail Site in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment for all visitors. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the property by vehicle as well as on foot. You will provide outstanding customer service, respond promptly to incidents, and embody Allied Universal’s values of reliability, agility, and integrity while working with a supportive and people-first team.

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a positive environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Support retail staff and visitors by offering assistance and information as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft and other unwanted activity within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Law Enforcement Officer License is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
