Job Description
Opportunity
As a key member of the IDS and Vestcom finance team, the Sr. FP&A Manager will work across divisions and is responsible for providing management with analysis and information needed to make operational, financial, and strategic decisions. The work of this role is critical in driving long-term value creation for the business and has high growth potential. Reporting to the VP, Finance IDS & Vestcom, and with direct reports, the day-to-day activities range from managing and prioritizing the tasks of the team, to coordinating the forecast, annual planning process, and strategic plan for the IDS and Vestcom organizations.
Key Areas of Responsibility
In your role as Sr. FP&A Manager, delivering on these responsibilities is critical to success:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: accountable for timely and accurate business performance reports and diagnostics. Analyze month-end results, including business review preparation support. Coordinate and execute the monthly rolling forecast, quarterly forecast, annual plan, and strategic plan for the IDS and Vestcom businesses.
- Business Support: work collaboratively with the IDS and Vestcom teams to provide proactive financial and analytical support and guidance in activities such as short-term, mid-term, and long-term growth opportunity assessment, scenario planning profitability analysis, Free Cash Flow forecasting and monitoring, as well as ad-hoc analysis that generates clear and actionable insight.
- People Management and Development: help recruit, develop, and retain a hardworking pool of employees, crafting a solid succession pipeline. Establish performance objectives for the team and manage job performance.
Qualifications
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or MBA preferred
- 5-10 years of financial and/or accounting experience, with experience in a public company preferred
- Experience managing a team and developing talent
- Oracle/Oracle BI and consolidated financial system(s) experience preferred
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to articulate business results & opportunities
- Attention to detail (excellent analytic skill)
- Proven ability to collaborate across divisions and functions
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and prioritize/re-prioritize workload (individually and for team/direct reports) to meet deadlines in dynamic business conditions
- Desire to learn continuously and take initiative to act on data/intuition; provide proactive insights that drive action and execution, leading to results
- Proven ability to develop complex financial/profitability models to drive decision making and provide meaningful insights to leadership
- Experience supporting functional leadership (Operations, Sales, and/or Marketing) preferred
