Job Description

Structured Credit Trading – TIBCO Integration Developer

Project Summary

The Structured Credit Trading desk  has a need to expand their Credit Limit Note (CLN) offering to their clients and distributors via e-trading platforms.

This will require increased automation of pre-trade and post-trade processes, including integration of the CLN pricing & flow with existing e-trading systems, automation of legal document generation, and automation of STP booking workflows to Murex.

Successful delivery of this project will allow increased client/ distributor coverage and productivity gains, allowing the desk to scale up their business. The CLN use-case will also serve as a template for other fixed income products that are not onboarded yet.

As an integration developer you will be responsible for the ensuring the team deliver high quality software, using industry best practices for code management, testing and CI/CD. This is an exciting opportunity to build a new greenfield solution for electronic pricing and trading capabilities, working as part of a small team, for the Structured Credit business within Santander CIB Fixed Income.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining the new services.
• Designing and developing of mappings and adapters between different XML and XSLT based systems.
• Maintain event/data flows between various downstream systems for the structured credit desk.
• Take full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
• Consistently create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considering scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
• Ensure code quality by striving for maximum code coverage and where possible follow TDD approach towards development.
• Review tasks critically and ensure they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery. Anticipate and communicate blockers and delays before they require escalation.
• Work closely with partner technology teams and to collaborate effectively.

Qualifications

Technical Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / Information Technology or a related field, or substantial practical experience of software delivery at an advanced level
• Must have worked within financial services in the last 2 years. 
• Very deep understanding of Tibco BW 5.14.
• Experience in REST API and SOAP based services.
• Solid understanding of and experience with XML and XSLT file processing.
• Good experience building and maintaining EMS communication (Topics and Queues)
• Hands-on experience with Databases and stored procedures.
• Experience designing and building api based service oriented or microservice architectures.
• Recent experience with continuous integration pipelines such as GitHub, Jenkins and UrbanCode
• Agile development/Software life cycle
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have Skills:

• Fixed Income product knowledge
• Experience with Murex.
• Knowledge of Unix.
• Experience with Tibco Container Edition.
